Talking to Jenny in New Zealand

A short time ago, I spent a most enjoyable time talking to Jenny, for a Joys of Binge Reading Podcast. She was in New Zealand. I was in the U.S., in Massachusetts. As an ancient relic of the 20th century, I continue to marvel at how easy it is now to have chats like these with readers, bloggers, and podcasters around the world. Just push a couple of buttons et voilà!

In a short time, we covered quite a bit of ground, from my early career to current work, inspiration sources, research, and more. (Jenny had clearly done quite a bit of her own research—into my books and career—in advance.) We also talked about how much I choose to include or exclude in the smoochies department.

The podcast is now live at the Joys of Binge Reading site, where Jenny has also very thoughtfully provided links to the people and topics we covered. You can access it here.

Or, you can watch here on YouTube.

And here’s a two minute clip to sample.

Jenny, thank you for being such a gracious host and excellent interviewer!

Lights, Camera, Auction!

To raise funds for the Ashland Public Library, more than fifty romance writers are offering books and other tempting articles for an online auction. Once again I find myself in a stellar cast of authors. If you click on this link, you’ll see what I mean.

The auction runs from 8pm (ET) Wednesday 11 October to 8pm (ET) Wednesday 18 October.

My contribution is a collection of autographed books, as listed in the text and shown in the graphic below.

The first two Difficult Dukes (the third is still being written but there’s light at the end of the tunnel): A Duke in Shining Armor and Ten Things I Hate About the Duke.

All of the Dressmakers series: Silk Is For Seduction, Scandal Wears Satin, Vixen in Velvet, and Dukes Prefer Blondes.

And, rounding up the usual suspect, Lord of Scoundrels.

You will find all the wonderful details here on the main auction page. The Loretta Chase page is here.

"Ten Things I Hate About the Duke" eBook is $1.99 for a limited time

Once again, I happened on this deal accidentally, so there isn’t much time left. Until 25 September the eBook retailers are offering Ten Things I Hate About the Duke for $1.99.

If you haven’t sampled my Difficult Dukes series yet, this is an inexpensive way to do so. Or maybe you’d like to make a gift of it to a friend.

And by the way, yes, the third book in the series is in process and yes, it’s actually progressing in a sane manner. Finally. If all goes well it will be finished by the end of the year. After that? Publication date is unknown. My publisher has had a long wait, and I have no idea what the scheduling might be.
